  1. Helen, I'm loving your necklaces!!! Great posts...keep 'em coming. I'll try to get some pictures of what I'm wearing this week too!

  2. Good morning everyone...it's been a crazy week so I'm just now catching up on my blogs. Helen, I love that outfit, but especially the skirt. I received my seasonal ID and am a winter so I'm starting to revamp my wardrobe a little at a time. There was a great sale this past weekend and I grabbed two sparkly sweaters for the holidays. Decided to try one today and I have received so many compliments. It has made my Monday!!! I also splurged over the weekend and had my hair professionally colored. I have been doing boxed color for so many years and I love the burgundy and auburns, but we decided to try a black/brown with reddish highlights. I really like the way it turned out, although the pics make it look way darker than it is. ~Amy

  3. Beautiful sweater, Amy, and on sale. It's a nice feeling when you get complimented on something, isn't it?
Here's my outfit from Sunday. One of my LBD's, with a shirt underneath, and a statement necklace.

  4. The blue is a great color for you Amy!

  5. I am enjoying playing around with necklaces. Love your new hair color and top, Amy! Very pretty, Cindy.

  6. Good afternoon everyone...hope y'all are doing well. Helen...I love that color with your skin tone. It is so pretty and really brightens you up. Cindy...where did you find that necklace? It's really pretty. Well here is my pic for the day...wanted some color and comfort so I went with leggings (they do hide the posterior despite not looking so in my pic). Leggings have become my best friend lately. I have several tunic style shirts that go with them. I don't particularly like my tunics with jeans because of the cut of the jeans so leggings have been the perfect go-to. Plus, it is still quite warm here (80 degrees) so I don't have to worry about a bulky coat just yet. ~Amy

  7. You're hitting the winter colors right on, Amy!

  8. Helen...I like the brown/pink together. That looks soft and pretty. You always look so well put together. Guess I'll get there eventually. Attached is today's pic. I stepped out of my comfort zone a little. Found my A-Line skirt that I scored for $1.99 at Goodwill and paired it with a sparkly tank and fitted corduroy jacket. I also wore my zebra striped tights which I LOVE - just to make it interesting. My necklace/earring set was an anniversary gift that the hubby had made for me last year. When I arrived at work this morning, a co-worker asked if I had a job interview. I am taking that as a compliment. LOL!!! ~A

  10. Hi everyone...hope y'all are having a good day. Here's my attempt at trying some new match ups with clothes I already have in the closet. This is actually kind of fun. I'm seeing my clothes in a whole new way now. ~Amy

  12. Hi everyone,

This week it's hard to get back into the routine of taking a picture. But I can at least compliment you all! Amy I loved your last two outfits, very nice! I've been looking for a basic skirt for so long I am about to give up, LOL. But I do think I have found one on E-Bay that is going to work well for me.

Helen, great pictures! I *think* -- not quite sure -- that I like the pink-and-brown combos best. I am going to try making some of my own statement necklaces, too.

Here is what I wore one day over Thanksgiving weekend -- it really didn't do me any favors, did it? Not quite sure why. Maybe I could have layered different necklaces or something.

Then one morning this week DP was awake at 5:00 and I had him take my picture. This is my attempt to touch on the Winter Whites trend. I like how I look in that outfit! Other attempts at wearing winter white haven't been as successful for me LOL

  14. Amy, loved the outfit mix-up. To add more pictures, just click "Add images" which is under the "Browse" of the picture you just posted. Elaine, I love that second outfit too. I think the main difference is that the jewelry in the second was bigger and more obvious and draws the eyes up. The second jacket is longer as well, I don't know if that makes a difference. Beautiful. I need to upload some more pictures, so I'm just putting some of my latest necklaces up for today.

  15. Amy, yay, a fellow thrifter. Good deal on your skirt, and the outfit looks great, along with the pants one. Isn't it fun to "shop" your closet?
You asked about my necklace earlier. I got it at Charming Charlie.

  16. Looking good ladies! Not only are you putting together pleasing outfits...your use of accessories (necklaces, scarves) is awesome...they are the icing on the cake. And as you know, without "icing" a cake is dry and not as yummy!

  17. Thanks, Leslie. I loved your scarf posting. You look so thin and pretty in it. This is wht I wore yesterday to the pediatrician's with the kids:

  18. Very pretty, all of you ladies. I enjoy your posts. I am retired from a factory where I wore jeans and tees almost all the time, so I still wear jeans with nicer shirts and scarves or chunky necklaces to dress them up a bit. I do dress up a little bit more for my two volunteer days and I get many compliments, thanks to MSP's advice and with your help posting such interesting outfits! I am not so good with the computer, but maybe someday I can learn how to post a picture. I hope you keep this link going. Thanks HelenChristine for starting it! Merry Christmas!!!

  20. This is what I wore to church yesterday. I got a lot of compliments on how skinny it made me look, but I am not seeing it in the picture.
