  1. Hi Everyone, what are you wearing this week? Thanks for the feedback, I did wear that leggings outfit. DP said I looked cute!

This is what I wore one day last week. I ended up not wearing the necklace. This is the only way that I feel comfortable belting for decoration -- just having it peak out from under a jacket or sweater.

  4. Thank you Trudence and Helen!

Helen, I loved those dresses that you got from E-Bay! I am just dipping my toes into clothes shopping on E-Bay. I got a skirt that isn't quite right, but I decided to keep it. It's a bit too small -- but I am trending downwards in size now -- and it needs hemmed. No biggie on either account. It is made in the US and that made me decide to keep it and get another in the correct size and a different color. I have been looking and looking for a basic dress and basic skirt without luck, now I think I may have found one, maybe two. I will finally have something other than pants!! LOL

This is yesterday's outfit. I liked this look -- it's fun to wear Red! I once had someone tell me not to wear red and brown together, so I now hesitate about that, but I thought this look was OK. Oh, but looking at the pictures I can tell that those slacks are way too big, oops.

  5. Elaine, I love brown and red together, and see it in shirts all the time! I think the addition of the cardigan is perfect. Helen, gray looks so nice on you! Although the sweater would drive me NUTS!!! I have issues with large flowy arms...I like how they look, but they just feel weird on.

  6. Hi everyone...my name is Amy and I am relatively new to this site. I joined a few years ago, but now I am on a mission to get my closet in order and focus on building a wardrobe that suits my ever changing body. I say ever changing because I play roller derby and my lower body is essentially three different sizes thanks to the muscles that I have earned. I'm extremely "hippy" and have a larger than normal posterior so it makes shopping an interesting experience. I'm excited to participate on the forum and find more about what is the best way to dress for success. I'm posting a pic from today even though I have not received my profile or color id yet. My current style is pretty eclectic - I love funky statement pieces, but I love the classic look too. It's casual day at work so I went with dark wash jeans, ballet flats, basic turtleneck and a angled vest. My chunky necklace has some of the matching gray in it. I detest belts and tucking my shirt in, but had to with this particular vest...it's cut short in the back. No real color today - I have been sick and matched my attire to my mood. A no-no I'm sure, but I'm running on lack of sleep so it is what it is. Amy in Arizona

  7. Trudence, the sleeves on that sweater had me on pins and needles whenever I was near the stove. I thought I'd catch on fire for sure! LOL! Elaine, I think you look nice in red. I haven't tried red and brown yet either, but I think it looks great on you and will try it sometime. Amy, welcome to the post! you look great in that outfit!

  8. Hi Amy, Welcome! I look forward to getting to know you better. You don't *look* hippy in that photo!

Helen, lovely white outfit! That's a terrific, simple, classy look for you.

We are traveling for Thanskgiving. Today I am in the office for a while and then we leave directly to drive 8 hours. We come back on Sunday. It was soooo easy to pack my clothes last night... Some whites, some browns, soem jeans, green and gold tops for color, jewelry that can multi-task, bathing suit for the hottub -- DONE! I will try to have a pic taken each day, not sure if I can post while I am gone or not.

    Happy Thanksgiving, everyone!

  9. Hey everyone...here's my check in for the day. Looking at the photo, I realize that my outfit does not fit the guidelines for my profile and I don't even have my official profile yet. Lol!!! The pants fit great, but the sweater and shoes are all wrong for them. Oh well!!! Hope everyone has a wonderful holiday!!! ~Amy

  10. Elaine, you look cute in the gold jacket with the brown pants. Have a good trip! Amy, I think the sweater and shoes look really cute with those pants, and you have the nice v-neck too. You look great.

Helen, it's always a delight to see what you've been wearing! Love your daily posts/outfits that are so helpful.
Outfielder, once you get your profile (I hope you have it by now) you will get ideas for dressing for your body type! Think: structure (like the dark jacket Helen is wearing in one of the pictures).
    I love you all! Leslie

  14. Hi everybody. It's been awhile since I posted a picture, so here's today's church outfit. I don't usually wear longer skirts, but wanted to try this new one (99 cents at the thrift store!) with my boots. The outfit was nice and warm on a cool day. I'm a 5' 6", Summer E.

  15. Very pretty, Cindy! I've missed seeing your posts. This is what I wore to church today. I tried the dress with a black and white top, but my husband didn't think it looked right, so I wore it with the black open jacket.

  17. Hi, Amy! I think you are dressed great for the office. However, that office is quite a study in beige and gray. I hope there is some colorful paint, wallpaper or flowers there somewhere, lol.

  18. Thanks, Helen and Diana.
