  1. :) I got this jacket from Target. It is one MSP recommended for my body type about a month ago.

  2. what a cute jacket! I love the color on you. I also enjoy looking at your pictures you post when I come to log in. I am enjoying the changes I have made in my style since starting up again! I have added just a few new pieces, but ones MSP had recommended and it has made a HUGE difference. I not sure I know how to post photos, but I love that you share with us! Thanks so much!

  3. how do you take photos in the mirror without the flash ruining them?

  4. HelenChristine, You look lovely! Posting photos (or taking photos) for that matter is a grand way to keep track of outfits you like and get comments on. I'm not as good as you and find it hard to do on a daily basis...perhaps others could join in??? Ladies? I'll check back often and my a few comments :) I did happen to get a photo taken while shopping at my local Trader Joe's this week. I thought I'd wear 2 bold colors together!

  5. Julie, usually you have to crop the picture before you can add it. That makes it a smaller file. You need to have a photo editing program on your computer. I use MGI photo, but I don't think you can buy that one anymore. Linda, my camera has a button you push to turn the flash off. Leslie, thanks for joining me! I love those colors together. You look great! This is a purple dress I just got on ebay. I love how it feels on me.

  8. Dizzy, Very nice. The belt elevates this outfit to something special.

  9. Hi everyone! I love these posts - am new to the forum and tO the personal profile but it's helping me find my style again which I feel like I had lost after I had kids! I am going to try posting from my phone as I take most pics with it! Here is what I wore to work yesterday.

  10. OK, I got a full length mirror for the spare bedroom so that I could play, too LOL (My partner is asleep when I get ready for work in the morning.) I work in a very casual business casual office. This is one of my outfits that I came up with to showcase my purple suede boots! Elaine in CO

  11. Wow! I was so glad to see others posting! I was thinking I might give up the thread since there was a lack of interest in this. dzylicz, I love the color of your top! SamJoy, I can't see you very well in the picture, but I'm getting glasses next week and maybe I'll be able to see better. Elaine, it's nice how you picked up the yellow and the purple from your outfit in your scarf!

  12. Oh. I am so totally posting pictures of myself as soon I get my profile and start dressing well. I could post pictures now but I am afraid they would just say "mother of two: fashion-fall-apart" in the caption.

  13. Maybe before and after shots, Fantum85? I'm with you, although I'm a mother of one and she is off to college....

  14. I know how you feel. I have 5 kids and never thought much about style until now, so I'm just trying to figure this out myself. I've been on a roller coaster from size 10 to size 18 and back again over and over again.... well, 5 times at least in the last 15 years. Taking pictures is a nice record of outfits you tried and you can always look back at them when you just don't know what to wear, or when you want to see which sillouttes of you look best in which outfits. You can also look back and see how your style is evolving and changing.

  15. Sorry I came back to check on others' posts and realized that mine did not load! Here are three I wore over the last few days. The sleeveless one I actually wore with a dark denim jacket when I went out, but I didn't click it that way.

  16. I wanted to add - I honestly appreciate any feedback, good or bad! I am looking for suggestions on how to improve my style! Thank you Helen for starting this thread - I always check it whether I get to post or not!

  17. Samjoy: I really love your outfit with the terracotta bottom and navy top. The scarf picks up both colors nicely!

  18. HelenC, thank you, you are kind. I actually didn't like that outfit after I looked at the picture, I don't think I will do that again. I will keep working on ways to wear those boots LOL. They were only $12, and I have a EEE foot, so if I have a chance for fun AND cheap AND comfortable shoes I usually go for it, even though I know we're not supposed to do that. Samjoy, I liked the purple top and black skirt best, you look really good in that outfit! Whew, taking a picture of yourself in a narrow mirror is an art! I hope I get better with practice. Today I wore something much more 'normal' for me. I resisted adding big earrings because I was wearing a big necklace, but a year ago I would have chosen big dangly dark brown earrings to go with this outfit. What do you all think? Elaine in CO P.S. I sure wish we could have paragraphs in our posts!! LOL

  19. SamyJoy, you are very stylish! The only thing I could add would be that if you wore a long necklace with the first outfit, it would give you a v-neck look. Beautiful! Elaine, I do like this outfit better too! The necklace is pretty. I got glasses today and am trying to get used to them. They are progressive and I'm having a hard time with them. I don't feel as pretty with them on either. Well, here is my attempt to wear blue and green like Leslie did. Also, with a scarf and with a jacket. I'm actually wearing it with the scarf today. I take pictures through the week and crop them on the weekend, so my pictures usually aren't the exact day I wore them, but within a week of when I wore them. Love, Helen

  20. HelenChristine, Please continue this thread. I love seeing your outfits. I think the glasses are flattering and love the green and blue. I might also add that I really like your outfits with the skinny pants. I think a lot of us aren't tech savvy when it comes to the photos, but I will jump in when I figure it out. Also, am recently retired so I dress more in casual attire. I check this site daily and enjoy very much.
