  1. I thought it might be fun if we had a thread called, "What I wore today" where we post a picture of what we wore that day (or recently). We could get inspiration from each other that way. Anyone want to do it? You don't have to post every day, just when you feel like it. Love, Helen

  1. Here's what I wore today:

  2. This is my favorite style: an empire waist dress with a cropped bolero.

  3. Both of your outfits look really nice! I will try to take photos when I think of it, but I go to work very early, and usually stop at the gym on the way home, so I am not sure when would be a good time to take a snapshot! Elaine in CO

  4. OK. Sounds good! I snap a picture in the bathroom when I'm dressed. I just keep the camera in there and download them every now and then.

  5. Love both looks Helen. How do you get such a great picture without a big flash refection? I've tried taking a picture in the mirror and they aren't turning out. I love you idea of sharing our pix. We are such a fashionable group of women :)

  6. I love your idea for "what I wore today." I hope it catches on. I love both of your outfits. So cute!

  7. Thanks. I don't use a flash when I take the picture.

  8. HelenChristine, I LOVE this post idea! I too hope it catches on! I wore this dress yesterday w/ my flat pewter sandals and a long silver/gold and red stone necklace. I looked somewhat dressy, yet cool in this hot weather we are still having. (This photo was taken awhile back w/ different shoes and necklace). I'm glad you are so organized to take your daily picture for us! ANYONE ELSE HAVE AN OUTFIT PHOTO TO SHARE??? JOIN US!

  10. Nice; casual and ready for fun but not sloppy.

  11. This is my most comfortable dress. If I could only keep one item in my closet it would be this dress. It feels like you're just wearing your own skin.

  12. I think I need to hem this top a bit.

  13. The picture didn't load, so I'm trying again!

  14. That's lovely!

  15. This is great! You look fabulous! On my days off I will try join in too. Thanks for sharing :)

  16. I take a picture of my outfits on days I go out, and will try to post some of them. The first one was from Sunday, for church. The dress is a brown print sundress, which I will still be able to wear in fall with a blazer or jacket. The second outfit was what I wore to run errands today.

  19. Something I learned on Imogen's website is that when you take your picture, you look your best if you turn your hips to the side a bit and then your upper torso back towards the camera, and add space between your body and your arm (like putting your hand on your hip). I tried it and could hardly believe the difference. It was like I lost an instant 10 lbs! That's why I'm standing like that in all my photos! LOL!

  20. Cute dress Helen! You are standing very stylish. This is true you should angle your hips and keep your weight on your back leg. Here is a dress I wore to our local farmer's market last weekend...
