I need a mother of the bride dress for Type "D". Not sure what would work.

Will the wedding be in the hot months, and will it be formal or not so formal? There are long dresses and knee length ones for Mothers of the Bride. Do you know what colour will co-ordinate with the rest of the wedding group? Have you any particular likes and dislikes in dresses?
