  1. Hi there, I was wondering if anyone could tell me how to use MSP advice for trends etc when you are living on the opposite side of the world. Does the Fall preview from 2016 become the fall trends for 2017 for the Southern Hemisphere (that is, what the North does first, the South follows 6 months later?) I love the idea of this service and have signed up but would also love some tips from others who may not be in the same season as the advice being posted at the time. Do you just save the swimsuit article for example and pull it out to refer to 6 months later when you need it?

  1. Hello. Your plan seems sensible. I'm not sure whether southern hemisphere fashion trends follow or are in advance of northern hemisphere... Someone who lives there will answer soon, I expect.

  2. Dear Southern Hemisphere SYSter,

Yes, you follow after the Northern Hemisphere trends. So our fall trends will become your fall trends for 2017. When you are a member, you will notice I leave up the Big Fall Preview & Big Spring Preview so if you are in the opposite hemisphere you can use these extremely handy style guides for the season you are currently in.

Regarding the swimsuit guide, yes you save the guide and use is when your warm season rolls around (which for you, is right now).

Happy New Year, Happy New Style! Love, Leslie MSP

  3. Hi Kerripoutet, I live in the southern hemisphere too & have received the emails for 5 or 6 years now. I find that I like to look at the articles & then would download the pdf to save for later,if it is an idea (like atm) where you could use the pictures for autumn dressing style. Where it works well, is that once you've got your head around the concept, you can shop wisely well ahead of the season - already knowing what on trend ideas will work with you & your wardrobe before they arrive into the stores. Lets face it, in Australia, they bring winter clothes in when it is still hot!! It allows for savvy shopping & something that can help give ideas for planning for what you require. I appreciate how Leslie keeps the trend preview up for us & often find I revisit again when the season changes for us down here. Aside from that, you will be amazed at how many of the articles can be at "just the right time" even though we are in the southern hemisphere. Great to see someone else on here in the same season! Enjoy the journey :) Lucinda.

  4. Another Aussie here too. I've been a member for several years and I read and print seasonal things in anticipation of them applying in about six months time too. Seasonal colours are also relevant, just well in advance of us needing it.
