16 Things to Toss from Your Closet...
As busy women, we're all occasionally guilty of accumulating a huge pile of clothes hidden in the back of our closets or stuffed into a drawer. Hey, it happens.
A clean closet would give a us clearer mind and make finding something to wear so much easier in the mornings. Part of the problem is this accumulation: the stuff you should be tossing but haven't because you're too busy or a bit sentimental. Let me help you clear the clutter.
Print this list out and get busy this weekend. I guarantee that getting dressed on Monday morning will be so much easier*
*Yes, it's another post about closets! Can you tell I want to prepare you (and myself) for spring~before it arrives. Nothing is more energizing than an organized and decluttered closet!
Toss these 16 things from your closet:
1. Broken or wire hangers (organize by investing in all one-style hangers)
2. Anything damaged beyond repair (for example: holes, stained items, and yes, even bras that that you know are too worn out)
3. The small boxes jewelry comes in
4. Empty shoe boxes
5. Spare buttons and/or the plastic bags they came in
6. Broken jewelry
7. Extra straps provided with bras
8. T-shirts with underarm stains
9. Single socks, solo earrings, anything that's mate-less
10. Shoes too beat up that you really must toss ‘em
11. Anything too tight (no, don’t hold on to them until you lose weight)
12. Snap-on hoods or zippered extras that go with pieces you no longer own
13. Broken sunglasses
14. Shoes that you know hurt your feet (you never wear them anyways)
15. Anything you're holding onto solely because you feel guilty not to (example: it was a gift)
16. Yoga pants that have totally lost their shape and stretch
BONUS: Organize your stuff! Above: Use the back of the door to organize your necklaces...what a cool place to see all your necklaces you could add to any outfit.
DOUBLE BONUS: Every time you buy something new, toss out something you no longer wear! Helps keep closet accumulation at bay. Something in-something out!
