Finding Your Own Personal Color Contrast

As we figure out our own personal color season; be it a Spring, Summer, Autumn, or perhaps a Winter-what is often missing is one key element regarding your coloring

What's missing is: NOT knowing your color contrast. Armed with this information, you can use your own color contrast to dress in colors that not only flatter, but in colors that awaken your skin tone, and brighten your eyes. Wearing the right color contrast can (visually) take years off of your appearance (how cool is that?!).

Knowing your color contrast is like getting a shot of color vitamins. The best part: Every woman has her own color contrast within her color season. This week, I help you classify your color contrast in this week's article, "Finding Your Own Personal Color Contrast".

This article will help you figure out your own color contrast.

Knowing your color contrast helps your choose your best colors from your color season...

You will sparkle when you KNOW which colors make you look most vibrant.

MSP's Weekly Style Mission

This week's Style Mission: Make friends with your local tailor! Take (at least) one item in to your local tailor and have it altered to fit you perfectly

The fact is, we all have unique feminine curves. Some of us have a fuller bust, while others have a fuller booty, while others have a little extra in the middle--and every other body shape in-between. Sometimes the fit of our clothes is close, but not quite right. So, why do we expect "ready-to-wear" clothes right off the rack will fit us all correctly?

A good fit can make even a low-priced item look more expensive. Don’t be afraid to get items tailored, even if they were cheap. For a few dollars, a tailor can transform the most inexpensive item into a custom fitted piece for you.

Just do it! Grab just one item from your closet you would wear more, if only it fit your better. Take it to the tailor. Pssst: You can thank me later. (Really, you can thank me by sharing your "I got it tailored" story). Email me your testimonial at: missusmsp@windstream.net

What SYSters Are Saying

Dear Leslie,

I am a new syster and recently got a compliment from a co-worker who is quite stylish herself. I followed your advice and guess what? It worked! She told me what a cute jacket I had on and how great I looked. (I followed what YOU recently said about the right fitting jacket for my shape) I am so happy with my “makeover”.

Thank you for helping women, this is a great service!

Blessings, Barb

Dressing is so much easier now that I know MY colors!

Hi MSP,

Thanks for offering the Seasonal Color ID. I am happy to know I’m definitely a winter -- I thought about all the times I had worn tops that got lots of compliments, and they were all times when I was wearing the winter colors!

Now I have to purge my closet of all those colors that don’t make me feel like a million bucks!  I printed out the winter color chart on a piece of photo paper, cut it out and laminated it --- it is now the PERFECT size to keep in my wallet and take with me when I go shopping!  I love it!

Thanks for all your help! Gina
