3-24-20 THIS WEEK: 14 Ways to Look Fab

March 26, 2020, 9:17 am by MSP

Oh my! How things have changed in just over a week. We are living right now in an unsettling place and time. Part of me wants to comply and do the right thing (staying home, social distancing) which I am doing-the other half wants to get out there and take on the world.

While we are adapting (or doing our best to adapt) to a new way of living, it seems like a good time to access our current wardrobe and personal image. Let's look in our closets this week and see if we can check all the boxes on my top 14 ways to look fab.

This week, 14 ways to look fab-even in these challenging times. These are ways to feel good even though your life and routines are being challenged right now. Of course, when things get back to normal, you'll use these tips again.

MSP's Weekly Style Mission

Dear SYSters,

I want you to FEEL style success.

Since I know many of you (quite well, I might add) I know that you get “side-tracked”...so this week’s Style Mission is just for YOU!

The best way to improve your style is by doing it one baby-step at a time.

This week’s Style Mission is to acquire one (1) missing wardrobe item. (Log in to your Personal Profile to review the "Must-Have Wardrobe Basics" list, if needed)

For example, if it’s a pair of great fitting jeans that still eludes you; this week go ONLINE and search for jeans—but only jeans! Stay focused on the one item you are missing from your wardrobe (jeans).

By filling in the gaps of your basics, you'll become more stylish. Better style starts with a good core wardrobe.
It’s the great fitting basics that are the glue of your wardrobe.

Love, Leslie MSP

Here is my top recommended jean. NYDJ jeans.

It's a classic, flattering straight leg + it has amazing slimming stretch in it!

What SYSters are Saying

Dear Leslie,

Even though we have never met, you have helped me express honor and respect to people I love. In the last 8 years I did not attended 3 funerals of people I deeply cared for; because I was too embarrassed about how I had let myself go - being a mom. I regret that my shame prevented me from honoring their life. It was a reversed type of pride.

I recently attended my father-in-laws funeral and will be at a friend’s soon. I am so comfortable now that I can meet the needs of grieving people. I have not lost weight. You have just taught me how to allow my outside reflect what is on my insides. I feel friendship toward you. Thanks a million! Deanne

MSP HERE: Dear Deanne,

I think Coco Chanel said it best…“How many cares one loses when one decides not to be something--but to be someone”.

Just be You. When we finally decide to let go of our “stinking thinking” we can finally be our authentic selves! This is when your true style will begin to develop. It’s going to take some practice (believing that you deserve it) along with practical style advice based on your body type.

You are loved Deanne. You are part of our MSP style community where we are all exploring style together (some for the first time) and it’s okay to make ‘mistakes’ and not always get it right. It's a style journey where we continually change to reflect who we are at any given moment. Have fun with your style.

With hugs and deep affection.

Love, Leslie MSP
