Admit it, you’ve been applying your makeup the same way for years. Unfortunately as we age we are guilty of not adjusting our makeup so that it enhances our more mature face and skin.

Use these 4 quick tips to update your makeup and look years younger!

1. Move your blush. Get an instant face lift by moving your blush from the apples of your cheeks UP to your cheekbones.

2. Update your foundation. Stop using the same one since college. Since you are older, you should look for one in a lighter texture and warmer tone.

3. Tone down your eye shadow. More than likely a smokey eye will end up making you look like a raccoon! Skip the heavy shadow, dark metallics and glitter eye shadows. Instead, opt for a soft, neutral color like honey or peach to wake up your lids.

4. Don’t go crazy with eyeliner. Avoid greens, blues and purples. Instead, use densely pigmented pencil in charcoal blacks or browns to line eyes. A little definition on the rims of the eye enhances them while minimizing droopy eye lids.
